I've tried Mullard, RFT, Sylvania, GE and Ei EL84s in my Trace Elliot Velocette. None of them come close to the musical bliss I get with a pair of Siemens E84L that I bought from Tubemonger. Their tone is just incredible: truly balanced, capable of great subtle clean sounds as well as the most beautiful Overdriven tones. The Trace Elliot Velocette is a notorious tube-cooker, yet these Siemens handle it extremely well, when other tubes (even Mullards) are red-plating all the way.

Awesome Tubes! |

I received the matched quad of E84L's via a creative and secure packaging method - I was impressed. The tubes tested out consistently with Tubemonger's readings on my B&K 747. I popped them into my High End Alessandro English, and the sound is just incredible. These are the most musical tubes I have ever heard. Very highly recommended.

I use these in my Mesa Lonestar Special and Marshall 18 watter. I pulled mullards out and prefer these! I believe they have a huge sound stage, warm, never loose focus and break up nicely a little later than Mullards,excellent note definition.A bargain.Will probably get 10,000 hrs.of use
