new 100 pc lot. It is mostly a cosmetic defect. Tubes test the fine, just like
the rest of 1012. Picture shown is of Item 1012 for reference.Brand new, MINT NOS NIB 1975-82 Original TESLA Military Production ECC802S with IMPERFECT FLASHING - Replica of the famous Telefunken ECC802S tall plate with flanges. Non-corrosive alloy pins. Made by Rožnov n.p. závod Vrchlabí. Produced in former Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). EC802S is a Premium version of 12AU7 ECC82 with low noise, and low microphonics. These tubes are very quiet and musical.
Construction seems to be a copy of the Telefunken ECC802S tubes with tall plates and rectangular flanges on the plates (by no means an implication that these sound exactly like the Telefunken ECC802S). Also the Identical in construction to 1960's Tesla Long Plate ECC803S variant.
Tested and matched on Hickok 752, just recently calibrated and modified by Hickok expert to all Solid State to eliminate drift. From our experience, an average Tesla ECC802S from that era measures between 1400-1700 mmhos on this modified Hickok 752.
