Brand Spanking New Telefunken E88CC 6922 1968 Gold Pin Diamond Bottom tubes. Same ULM production date/batch code. Made in Germany.
  • Labels are extremely fragile as expected of tubes from that era. Handle with care.
  • Atypical of Telefunkens from that era, labels can vary in hue from white to light yellow even within the same batch. Pairs will be matched on the basis of the test scores and not the label cosmetics.
Tested and closely matched on Top of the Line Calibrated Hickok 580 Lab Grade Tester. 65% = 8500 mmhos for E88CC on this tester.

Last 2 tubes with imperfect test scores (but still not too far to be used as a matched pair depending upon the application).

Love the sound on the Schitt Lyr with these tubes. Almost thought about getting rid of the Lyr before I got these tubes.

I don't think much has to be said about their sound.  They have that well-known, detailed, holographic sound with a quiet noise floor.

I ordered a good stock of these during Tubemonger's spring sale and they all have the diamond at the bottom, like-new gold plated pins and pristine tube printing and boxes.  Some were slightly microphonic, but they all were quiet and sounded great.  Excellent triode-to-triode and tube-to-tube matching as well.

I've never, in my last decade or so, of tube collecting, seen the Telefunken E88CC, in this condition, tested/matched and available for as low as they were during the spring sale.  In the current market, they're a bargain even at their regular price!  Get them now before it's too late.
