Triode Flipper© with Vibration Reduction Base. Engineered in-house and precision manufactured for us with high quality materials overseas, this simple plug & play NOVAL 9-PIN adapter will let you flip triodes in typical tubes with twin triodes like 12AX7 ECC83 5751 ECC82 12AU7 12AT7 ECC81 6DJ8 ECC88 6922 E88CC 7DJ8 PCC88 12BH7 etc.

Anti-vibration Base* is filled with silicone to reduce microphonics. Tube pins are exact size of a typical NOS Philips tube for snug fit, unlike cheap Chinese bases with thinner pins that wobble in the sockets.

Why use this adapter? In a perfect world, twin triodes for small signal tubes should measure exactly the same and deplete at exactly the same rate in various applications. In real world, that is almost never the case. If you were to test a large sample of used tubes, you will find 10-50% or even more variation between triodes. Often one triode can test NOS and other below minimum.

This variation is due to the fact that in most cases, 2 triodes may not test exactly the same when new, and may deplete at different rates in various applications. Often 2 triodes are employed for different functions e.g. in Guitar amps.

You can extract more usable life from twin triodes by using this base for part of the lifespan.

*all damping methods based on increased mass have limitations. It may or may not be very effective in your application.
