• Black or Smoke Glass coating can have streaks (small to large). Also, Black or Smoke Glass coating can vary in density. It is normal result of the manufacturing process.
• Bases could become slightly loose, a common problem with 1940s tubes. Glue tech was not that advanced then. Even inserting or removing tubes from boxes can dislodge the old flaky adhesive. There are many good solutions (click here). ALWAYS insert or remove tubes by holding the base.
