Stuttgart German made Lorenz tubes are rather obscure like Valvo Hamburg made tubes. Most Lorenz label tube types in the market are from E. European makers (Tesla, RFT, Ei, Tungsram etc.) or W. European makers (Siemens, Telefunken and Philips Etc.).

PCC88/7DJ8 is pin compatible with 6DJ8/ECC88 except that it has 7V heater. Consult your amp/gear maker before trying these or post a question on Tubes Asylum.

Please read before ordering:
- These tubes are one of a kind. No refunds, No exchanges.
- We can't say if these sound better or different than the 2-Mica Lorenz on our site. We have not done any A/B comparisons, as it is time consuming and your impressions on your system may differ.
- It is hard to date these exactly. Our best guess for this 3-Mica variant is anywhere from late 1950s to early 1960s Stuttgart, West German production.
- This is probably the last time you will see Genuine Lorenz Stuttgart, West German production tubes in quantity. After we are out of this lot (Items 1054, 1054A, 1054B, 1055, 1056 and this 1057) - there is no more.

For the best value on budget 7DJ8/PCC88, Tungsram PCC88 is a sleeper - superior to NOS Tesla and Russian equivalents. We do have a whole bunch of them. QTY on the web site will be updated when next 100 pc box is tested.

MINT NOS PCC88 7DJ8 Lorenz Stuttgart tubes with 3-Mica and Gray Shield. Made in Germany. From the red dot on the bottom and from the tight scores, it seems that this batch was either tested/selected at the factory or by some stockist. Stray flashing on the lower half and bottom of the glass is normal. In generic white boxes from bulk.

NOTE: This version has Lorenz logo printed in black and very fragile. Handle carefully, printing can come off easily with contact.

In our opinion, these tubes are in the same league if not better than the Telefunkens sonically. However, we cannot guarantee same results in your system to your ears.

Tested and closely matched on Top of the Line Calibrated Hickok 580 Lab Grade Tester. 65% = 7500 mmhos for 7DJ8/ECC88 on this tester. 

All tubes test above 11000 mmhos.
