PCC88/7DJ8 is pin compatible with 6DJ8/ECC88 except that it has 7V heater. Consult your amp/gear maker before trying these or post a question on Tubes Asylum.

Flashing pattern can vary slightly from tube to tube within the same production batch. It is normal. We do have to pass almost all bulk boxed tubes through pin straightener, and you will see minor marks on the pins. Tube pins are malleable and bend easily with lateral movement in the bulk boxes.

Brand New, MINT NOS Rare 1965-66 Original Tesla PCC88 7DJ8 Yellow Print tubes with 32 Factory Code for Tesla Rožnov n.p. Závod Vrchlabí plant. More desirable than the later production PCC88 with 37 Factory Code Trinec production. Made in former Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). Packaged in generic white boxes from bulk box. Fine tubes and better than any current production or Russian tubes.

Construction Notes: There is a minor variation in the construction EVEN within the same production batch (Steel Pins v/s Rhodium Pins, Fat Getter Ring v/s Thin Getter Ring, Big Font Label v/s Regular Label - See larger photo). We have found no difference in performance in any of these variations. Pairs will be matched accordingly.

Tesla tubes were relabeled and sold by Siemens, Valvo, Telefunken etc. during 1980s when the original Western European tubes were no longer available.

Tested and closely matched on Top of the Line Calibrated Hickok 580 Lab Grade Tester. 65% = 7500 mmhos for 7DJ8/ECC88 on this tester. Labels are fragile. In white boxes from bulk.

From the same batch of Item 1019 (above picture for reference only) - following 4 tubes have cosmetic defects. Tubes are perfect otherwise. Specify which tube you want in comments box during checkout process.

Tube 1: 1966 Tesla PCC88 Steel Pins Imperfect Getter - Test Scores: 14500-14750 mmhos.

Tube 2: 1966 Tesla PCC88 Rhodium Pins Imperfect Getter - Test Scores: 15250-14000 mmhos.

Tube 3 and 4 can be used as a matched pair:
Tube 3: 1965 Tesla PCC88 Rhodium Pins Missing Label (seems that the labeling machine missed this tube. There is a smidgen of yellow mark from the batch code). Test Scores: 13500-14500 mmhos.

Tube 4: 1965 Tesla PCC88 Rhodium Pins chipped tip on the top. There is no crack in the glass. Tube is perfect. Tesl Scores: 14500-14500 mmhos.
